New to Colorado? A Basic Guide to Start Exploring

There are so many things to do in the Centennial State that the real challenge is deciding where to start. Fortunately, Colorado boasts some amazing activities that are enjoyable any season of the year. With different areas featuring different adventures, you can never go wrong. You will find something truly amazing at every turn.

If you like the mountains; spend a weekend in Estes Park and check out the Stanley Hotel or Rocky Mountain National Park. Take a rafting trip down the Colorado River or hike up one of the states 53 fourteeners. Many mountain towns feature plenty to do in both the winter and summer.

For all the foodies out there, there is nowhere better to be than Downtown. Denver has had a major increase in restaurants in the recent years and every neighborhood has its own great food to offer. Try RiNo for all the up-and-coming favorites and take a look at the renovated area. If you're taking the train anywhere, stop at Union Station for some world-class hospitality. New restaurants are popping up all the time and if you want the trendiest meals head to the Highlands. There are good meals to be had for any craving and so many options you'll never get bored.

Want to catch a show in the only natural amphitheater, or see a movie under the stars? Go to Red Rocks day or night and see why it is one of the top ten outdoor music venues in the country.

With over 250 craft breweries and home to nearly ten percent of the nation's breweries, Colorado has beer to spare. With so many beers to try, there are plenty of tours, tastings and festivals to help get you through it. Check out your favorites in Fort Collins, Boulder, Denver and Colorado Springs, or go a little farther out of the Denver-metro area and take a trip to Breckenridge, Aspen, Grand Junction, and Durango.

There is something for everyone in Colorado, you just have to know where to look. Now get out there and explore!
