5 Things to Do in Colorado This Spring

As the weather starts to warm up, we wanted to prepare you for the coming months by putting together a short list of fun adventures to do around the beautiful state of Colorado once spring arrives.

Seven Falls

If you’re in the Colorado Springs area and are in the mood for some natural beauty, Seven Falls is a great option. For a small entrance fee, you can see seven magnificent waterfalls, each flowing down to the next. For an even more spectacular view, you may want to check it out at night when they light up the falls different colors.

Mesa Verde National Park

Do some time traveling this spring by heading out to the Mesa Verde National Park. These fascinating and incredibly well-preserved cliff dwellings, including the largest in North America, belonged to the Ancestral Pueblo people over a thousand years ago.

Trail Ridge Road

Completed in 1932, Trail Ridge Road takes you 48 miles through the Rocky Mountain National Park. One of the most beautiful scenic byways in America, this drive will take you through multiple climate zones and offers plenty of opportunities for wildlife sightings and views of nature at her finest.

Garden of the Gods

A visit to these incredible red-rock formations will leave you in awe. This 1,334 acre park offers plenty of trails for walking, hiking, mountain biking, or horseback riding. If you’d like a more informative experience of Garden of the Gods, they offer guided tours twice a day as well as half hour presentations at the visitors center.

Pikes Peak Cog Railway 

Take a train up to the summit of Pikes Peak, a mountain which tops out at an altitude of 14,110 feet. This 3 hour educational ride provide jaw-dropping sight after jaw-dropping site. You’ll likely get to see herds of bighorn sheep, 2000 year old pine trees, and depending on the weather, maybe even downtown Denver.
