Posted on Mar 24, 2016Why is Colorado the top place to live? Well, we at Team Lassen may be slightly biased, but we think Colorado is one of the most beautiful places in North America. Of Livability's list of 100 best places to live in the USA, seven are in Colorado.
The cost of living here is 30% lower than coastal cities. For utilities, Colorado is cheaper than any other state when it comes to electricity and natural gas.
The unemployment rate is Colorado is lower than the national average.
Coloradans take an interest in health. Not only does our state offer excellent health care, but we exercise. We ski. We jog. We dance. We swim. We hike in the mountains. (Did we mention that the mountains in Colorado are beautiful?) We also have more physicians per capita than the average in the rest of the United States.
The future is important to Colorado, which is why education is important here. We have the second best school system in the US, and we're working on making it the best school system in the country.

Denver alone is home to the Colorado Rockies baseball, Denver Nuggets basketball, Denver Broncos football, Colorado Rapids soccer, Colorado Barbarians rugby,Colorado Avalanche hockey, and Denver Outlaws and Colorado Mammoth lacrosse.
Colorado is a state that appreciates fun. Any time of year, you'll find a festival somewhere, from the Longs Peak Irish-Scottish Highland Festival and the Telluride Film Festival every fall to the Winter Carnival in Steamboat Springs, from the Blossom Festival in CaƱon City in spring to the Colorado Renaissance Festival in Larkspur and the Mountain Town Music Festival in Keystone in the summer.
